ProofLens Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ProofScan (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and processes information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1.1 User-Provided Content

When using the App, you may upload content such as images or videos captured through the App, along with related technical metadata required for processing (e.g. timestamps, capture parameters).

You are solely responsible for the content you upload and for ensuring you have the legal right to submit it.

 

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

We collect limited technical and usage information necessary to operate and improve the App, including:

  • Device type, operating system, and app version

  • Basic usage events and diagnostics

  • Anonymous or aggregated analytics data

We use analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics) to understand app usage patterns and improve performance. These services do not directly identify individual users.


2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and operate the App’s core functionality

  • Analyze uploaded content as part of guided capture and verification workflows

  • Maintain, debug, and improve system performance

  • Evaluate and improve our platform

  • Understand usage patterns and improve user experience

Where reasonably possible, data is processed in aggregated or anonymized form and handled using appropriate technical and organizational safeguards.

3. Use of External Services

To operate and maintain the App, we may rely on external service providers and infrastructure.

Any processing performed by such providers:

  • Provide the service

While we take reasonable measures to operate the App responsibly, we do not control or pre-approve user submissions.

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
